I shot this in March when I was up visiting my friend Julia "CJ" in Big Sur, CA. Outside of the city, without light pollution, it gets really dark really fast. I was waiting for just the right moment after the sun had set to take this shot, but with no moon, it got so dark in such a short time that I found myself wandering around in the pitch darkness not 15 minutes later. This is not a place to be without a flashlight.
